Marvin Minsky - The Beauty of the Lisp Language

90 2020-10-08 04:06

LISPerati often get lost in their abstract parens soup due lack
of vitamin C, so they use FFI to call C code that LISP cannot do or
does so slowly that even LISPerati don't bother with it.
LISPerati often discover to their horror that most performant code
in LISP tends to be very imperative, direct and C-like, while nested lambdas and clever function juggling macros produce stuff thats slower than Python.
