In the real world, there is no perfect solution: all real world solutions are a matter of picking and choosing tradeoffs to apply to a problem. This means there will always be problems to go with any fathomable solution. Linux is a general purpose OS kernel that's structured as a monolithic kernel. The monolithic kernel structure implies many kinds of problems and benefits according the the nature of all solutions being a matter of tradeoffs. All software has the nature of being subjective towards the users' subjective context and this means software needs to be updated over time as the users' context changes. Linux is not exempt to this nature of software being connected to users.
