A Home in New York City
I've always wanted to live in Manhattan and now I'm finally going to do it! I'm interested in either renting or buying. I'm much pickier about a place I'd buy. Here are some requirements for a place I'd buy:If I rent, it would be nice if the place had all the above features but they aren't required. I'm also interested in a roommate situation but it would have to be ok for me to work at home. I'm very quiet but do spend tons of time at home looking at computer monitors!
- NO minimum size - a tiny studio is ok!
- Ideal: Top floor corner with windows on all outside walls (but high floor and non-corner will be considered!)
- Lots of light
- Not too loud
- Cat ok
- Nice place to jog nearby
- Close to a subway
- Washer & dryer in building
- Walking distance to a good grocery store
Please let me know if you have any tips!

- Good free telnet client for Windows 3.1 (I do not like NetTerm or EWAN; SimpTerm is pretty good but it does not have a print command)
- Good free ftp client for Windows 3.1 that supports scripting
- ISPs that give at least 35 MB of space for $20/month or less. (Note: Best Internet Communications, Inc. is an example.)
- Any information about IMAP that is not accessible through The IMAP Connection

Miscellaneous

Questions I've Posted
- Answers to questions I've posted in news groups. You can view archives of my recent postings by using one of the canned searches below. Please post your answer to the group (after reading the entire thread, of course) so everyone can benefit from your answer!
View a thread by clicking on the subject of an article you are viewing. Reference.COM View a thread by clicking on the word "Subject:" in the header of an article you are viewing. This does true threading (using Message-ID) and presents the thread in a very cool way! (Note: This is in beta and archives only go back a few weeks right now.) AltaVista Does anyone know how to view an entire thread? You can view "References" for an article but that's not normally the whole thread. Infoseek Does anyone know how to view an entire thread? If you know how to optimize these canned searches so that they return only articles posted by `Nancy McGough', please let me know. Note that I post under different email addresses so the search string should not contain one of my email addresses.
