LEAD lab is an interdisciplinary research group at the intersection between software engineering and health care informatics.

LEAD lab is a joint venture of the University of Victoria’s Department of Computer Science (Engineering) and the University of British Columbia’s Department of Family Practice (Family Medicine).

Our research focuses on a range of topics related to the engineering research of clinical information systems. This includes safety, security, user experience, and overall systems engineering.

We are interested, particularly, in systems that include decision support for both providers and health consumers, consumer health informatics, medication management, and primary care.
