John Borrows awarded Honorary Doctorate from Dalhousie University

On May 23, John Borrows, holder of the new Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Law at the University of Victoria – and of course long-time holder of the Law Foundation Chair in Aboriginal Justice and Governance at UVic – was awarded an honorary doctorate from Dalhousie University! This is indeed a very great honour, recognizing his many path-breaking contributions to the encounter between Indigenous and non-Indigenous law. You can read the text of his convocation speech or watch it on the Dalhousie Convocation Day webcast. Congratulations, John!
