UVic to Host Conference on Canada-EU Economic and Trade Agreement on May 5 and 6
On May 5 and 6, 2014 UVic’s European Union Centre of Excellence (EUCE) will host the conference, “The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA): Implications for British Columbia.”
Trade and EU experts, officials and CETA negotiators will come together to discuss the agreement between Canada and the EU. Speakers will reflect on the creation of CETA, the legal aspects of the agreement, as well as its economics and effect on business.
The two-day event will feature several fascinating sessions, including a public panel on the first night that will focus on CETA’s negotiations and implications.
The public panel on the evening of May 5 will be held in room A104 of the Bob Wright Centre, but the majority of the sessions will be held in room 125 of the David Strong Building.
