Cultural Supports

  • The Centre for Indigenous Support and Community Engagement offers a range of cultural programming throughout the academic year. For more information please visit the Weekly and Monthly Programming page.
  • Upon request, students can seek an individual meeting with one of the knowledge keepers/elders that work with the Centre. For more information please email indigenous@carleton.ca

Writing Support

Finding it difficult to start writing a paper? Feeling overwhelmed trying to organize your thoughts and ideas? Writing services offers all students one on one writing consultations.

CUSA offers 100 pages for undergraduate students. All documents will be printed black-and-white and single-sided, but if a student needs a document to be double-sided, this can be requested.

  1. From your Carleton email, send the document you want printed to freeprinting@cusaonline.ca
  2. Come to the CUSA Office at 401 University Centre and give one of our front desk staff your name and student number, and they will print it on the spot.

Learning Supports Sessions

Financial

  • The Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB) provides financial support to post-secondary students, and recent post-secondary and high school graduates who are unable to find work due to COVID-19. This benefit is for students who do not qualify for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) or Employment Insurance (EI). Apply Here: https://carleton.ca/awards/budgeting/money-saving-tips/
  • Indigenous Student Bursaries are available for First Nation, Metis and Inuit students

Health and Wellness

  • The Centre for Indigenous Support and Community Engagement offers free 1:1 confidential counselling to Indigenous students (insert link to counselling page) and same day walk-in counselling through health and counselling
  • Registered students have free access to the Carleton Fitness Centre through and can access other Carleton Athletics services for a discounted rate.
