New Orleans mother of four fatally stabbed Saturday in Hammond

HAMMOND, La. (WVUE) - A New Orleans woman died Saturday (April 27) after being found in the back seat of a vehicle bleeding from several stab wounds, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said.

The slain woman was identified as 31-year-old Carol Allen, a mother of four children, the agency said.

Sheriff Daniel Edwards’ office said Allen was discovered in the vehicle Saturday around 2:30 p.m. Deputies attempted to stop her bleeding, but the agency said the woman died while receiving emergency treatment at a hospital.

No suspect or motive in the killing has been disclosed. The vehicle Allen was in was found on West Pleasant Ridge Road in Hammond, the agency said.
