I’m an avid golfer and I have two holes in one, one in Scotland and one in Victoria.

About Shane

I’m a proud member of the Nak’azdli Whut’en First Nation near Fort St. James in the Central Interior of British Columbia, and grew up in Fraser Lake, and try to visit home a couple times of year.

I worked in Victoria for two summers while completing my undergraduate studies. I have lived in small towns across the province, as well as the big city of Vancouver. I find that Victoria is a great mix of the small-town feel while having all the amenities of the big city. I also grew up on a lake, and I find the ease of access to the ocean and beach very comforting.

My advice to future university students

Try new things, there will be many courses, clubs and opportunities for you to try when you’re completing your degree. Trying a new path can lead to new experiences that may change your life.
