The University purchased the six-hectare Queenswood Campus, 2474 Arbutus Rd., in 2010 from the Sisters of St. Ann to accommodate future expansion of academic programs and research in a location nearby the Gordon Head Campus. The Queenswood Campus was rezoned in 2018 to permit the conversion of the 26,000-square-foot Queenswood residence building to research and office uses. Renamed the Ocean-Climate Building, renovations were completed in the fall of 2018. The main group in the building is Ocean Networks Canada.
