Using the career portal

You can search for job postings, apply for jobs, book career appointments and more in the career portal. Here is how to complete common tasks in the portal.

Sign in to the portal

Visit the career portal and select your 'Students & Alumni' and click Student Login.

When you first log in, you’ll be taken to your dashboard, where you'll find your account information, upcoming appointments, events, interviews, your calendar and more.

Search for job postings

You can access job boards and other tools for finding work in the career portal. You can also manage your documents and applications related to your job search (like résumés and cover letters).

We do not pre-screen employers for these job boards. You're responsible reviewing and verifying the terms and conditions of your employment. Types of postings include:

  • General job postings
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Casual job board: search opportunities posted by community members hiring for casual and short-term jobs around their homes (like lawn maintenance and child-care).
  • Casual work registry: create a work profile describing your availability for casual work; community members can browse these profiles and contact you directly.
  • Tutor board and tutor registry: search for available tutors by subject or post your own tutor profile for other students to browse.

Book appointments

You can book an appointment with a career educator through the portal. You can also set up appointments with other career and co-op staff.

Register for events

We host a ton of career-related events throughout the year, including:

  • career fairs
  • employer information sessions
  • networking opportunities
  • workshops on résumés, cover letters and more.

You can browse the career event calendar in the career portal to see upcoming events. Choose events that interest you and register to attend.
