The External Relations Division fosters strong relationships between the University of Victoria and its many external stakeholders and audiences. The division consists of five departments.

Alumni Relations

Alumni Relations offers great programs to encourage graduates and students to stay active in the life of the university and supportive of its mission.

Ceremonies and Events

Ceremonies and Events is responsible for the planning and implementation of Convocation and other important UVic ceremonies.

Communications + Marketing is helping to build UVic's reputation with key target audiences through media relations, research communications, strategic publications, webpage development, The Ring, and the speakers bureau.

Community and Government Relations develops and sustains integrated institutional relationships in support of UVic’s core commitment to mutually beneficial engagement with our valued external partners.

Giving to UVic (Development)

Giving to UVic (Development) works to expand sources of private sector funding, to develop lifelong relationships with Alumni and friends of the university, and secure the philanthropic donations needed to support excellence in education, teaching, research and a quality campus life.
