Find your edge in UVic's School of Social Work.
The School welcomes and is actively recruiting applicants from communities that experience historical and present-day systemic discrimination and marginalization, and who are committed to social justice, equity, anti-racism and decolonization. In our admissions decisions, we will apply a decolonial equity framework which includes an intersectional lens and will priortize applicants who are Indigenous, Black and other racialized people.

Why social work at UVic?

Here, you'll learn how to impact change with our flexible and innovative programs. Choose from the standard program or one of three specializations in our Bachelor of Social Work program, or develop critical skills with one of our three distinct Master of Social Work programs.

Our programs emphasize social justice, Indigenous and anti-oppressive approaches to working with communities, families and individuals. Our Mission Statement provides greater detail about our School's emerging vision and how it relates to our practice, scholarly activities and approach to education.

All of our programs are fully accredited by the Canadian Association for Social Work Education
