Undergraduate programs

Learning other languages and discovering different cultures is important in today's global society. It can give you a better grasp on current and past cultural issues, and increase your ability to communicate with people from different cultures or countries.

In our tight-knit community, you will work closely with faculty and students to explore the languages, literatures, cultures, histories and arts of Spain, Latin America and Italy.

Explore our programs

Pursue an Honours, Major, or General and Minor program leading to a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies. We also offer an undergraduate Certificate in Language and Cultural Proficiency: Spanish. 

Declaring your program

Once you have completed a minimum of 12 units of course work you can declare your program through the Advising Centre for Humanities, Science & Social Sciences.

Access My page and look under the "Grades and Records" and click Program declaration or change. (If you are not able to access this, you can also download a Request for Record of Degree Program (RDP) form from the Academic Advising website or pick up a form in person from the Advising Centre on the second floor of University Centre.)
