Research

The Latin American Studies Program is committed to fostering innovative research that looks at Latin America from a variety of diverse and unique angles. Our courses are inspired by research and faculty share their research findings at the biannual workshop of the Latin America Research Group (LARG).​

Students are encouraged to apply for a Jamie Cassels Undergraduate Research Award (JCURA) and to undertake a personalized research project through LAS 320, our experiential learning course, and LAS 400 the program's capstone seminar.
