Karen is a sessional instructor and has taught at Cornell College, Indiana University, and the University of Washington.

Publications: has published in Indiana University Independent Studies Program, Indiana University Board of Trustees, CSLI Lecture Notes and MIT Working Papers in Linguistics. Dr. Brown has presented papers in the USA and Japan as well as moderating Ethical Perspectives on the News, KCRG TV9, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
