How to apply for the work study program

The 2023/2024 work study application for eligibility is now closed.

Please check back mid-August 2024 for the 2024/2025 application.

To access the 2024/2025 work study application:

1. Go to www.uvic.ca and Sign in to UVic (green button with a key icon at the top right of page) using your UVic Netlink ID.
2. After signing in, click on Online tools
3. Click on Student Services on the left-side menu.
4. Click on the Finances tab.
5. Select Awards and Financial Aid.
6. Select the option which best applies to you:
   • If you are starting a new work study application for the first time this academic year click Apply for awards (scholarships and bursaries) and work study.
   • If you have already started a work study application this academic year (even if you haven’t submitted it yet) click View and modify current award applications
7. For Year, select 2024/2025.
8. For Period select Winter.
9. Continue to follow the prompts to apply for work study. Applications with zero resources listed will be considered incomplete and will not be accepted.
10. Be sure to read all instructions as you complete each section of the application and click Submit Application as your last step to ensure your application is submitted.
11. Eligibility results will be emailed to students.  Results will be emailed starting early September and then on a 4 business day rotation after the first day of classes.
