Outreach

The mission of the Advanced Microscopy Facility is to help scientists in their research by providing instrumentation and expertise in the field of microscopy, material analysis and nanotechnology. Thus we play a key role in creating new knowlege.

As a core facility of the University of Victoria our mission is also to help disseminate this knowledge, educate our students, inspire the next generations of researchers and bridge the gap between Science and the community.

In this section you can find more about our outreach effort. We regularly organize tours for all kinds of audiences. Our training workshops are open not only to University students and researchers but to anyone with an interest in learning. You can find more about the partnership that made possible for the Facility to come to be and also links to resourcers for teachers and educators with an interest in our activities or simply microscopy in general.
