Microsoft 365 add-on licenses
The TSC has the following Microsoft software applications available as pre-approved standards for purchase. The licenses for these applications are applied to Microsoft 365 user accounts, meaning you must have signed up for the Microsoft 365 service at onlineservices.uvic.ca to be able to use these applications.
- Microsoft Visio (Plan 2) including:
- The Microsoft Visio 365 Desktop Application
- The Microsoft Visio web Application
- Microsoft Project (Plan 3) including:
- The Microsoft 365 Project Desktop Application
- The Microsoft Project on the Web web application
- Microsoft Roadmap
- Microsoft 365 A5 license for Office 365 desktop applications including:
- Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote
- Windows OS only: Publisher, Access
- UVic employees can request Microsoft 365 A5 licenses for themselves at no cost by signing up at onlineservices.uvic.ca
- UVic students get Microsoft 365 A5 student use benefit licenses automatically
To purchase any of these licenses, email tsc@uvic.ca. The TSC will be able to provide pricing at the time of your request and will work with you to collect the necessary FAST account details and intended application user information for the order. We will not be able to process new license purchases between February 1 and March 31 due to annual Microsoft contract renewal during this time frame.
These license purchases are annual subscriptions renewed at fiscal year end. If you wish to cancel a license email tsc@uvic.ca to request the cancellation before February 1 of the current fiscal year.

UVic has a number of campus-wide software licenses available for use, including:

- teaching & learning tools
- endpoint protection
- security utilities
