According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, the stabbing happened around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 on West Pleasant Ridge Road in Hammond.

Deputies say a woman, identified as Carol Allen, 31, of New Orleans, was found in the backseat of a vehicle with multiple stab wounds. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.

Wilson was reportedly captured on I-49 in Natchitoches on Wednesday, May 1 after he called police to ask for help with low air in his bicycle tire.

Officials say on Wednesday evening around 6 p.m., a deputy with the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call just north of Derry about a bicyclist with a flat tire on the side of I-49 in need of help. The deputy talked to Wilson, who told him the rear tire on his bike was flat and that it needed air. The deputy put Wilson’s bike in the back of his truck, then asked Wilson for permission to search his backpack and person for officer safety.

Wilson then reportedly told the deputy he had a small amount of marijuana on him. The deputy searched him and found said marijuana. The deputy also reportedly found more marijuana and a weighing scale in Wilson’s backpack. At that point, Wilson was placed under arrest.

The deputy then discovered Wilson was wanted out of Tangipahoa Parish. While taking Wilson to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center, the deputy learned Wilson was also the suspect in Allen’s death.

In Natchitoches Parish, Wilson was charged with possession of a schedule I controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a domestic abuse battery warrant out of Tangipahoa Parish. Wilson was later transported back to Tangipahoa Parish, where he was charged with first-degree murder.

According to investigators, Wilson and Allen were communicating throughout the day of her murder, and the two had planned a date.

Investigators say the two met up in Hammond for the date, and Wilson attacked Allen and tried to steal her car. During the scuffle, Wilson stabbed Allen numerous times and fled the scene on foot, added investigators.
