NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A woman was arrested after she was found passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle with two children in the backseat.

According to the arrest affidavit from the Metro Nashville Police Department, an off-duty trooper alerted the police after he observed 33-year-old Josie Bahr asleep in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex around 1:30 a.m.

Officers arrived and found Bahr asleep with an open, half-empty bottle of bourbon whiskey between her legs, and two young children sleeping in the back seat, the affidavit states. A search of the vehicle produced two large empty beer cans on the floorboard of the vehicle, according to the arresting officers.

Through her inability to comprehend the officers’ commands and failing a field sobriety test, Bahr was arrested and charged with driving under the influence with children.
