NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two Nashville teenagers have been charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of a 30-year-old man south of downtown Nashville.

Two 14-year-olds are charged in the killing of Anthony Lee Buchanan Jr. on Thursday night on University Court in Nashville. Buchanan died at the scene after he was found in an alley with several gunshot wounds, police said.

Metro Development and Housing Agency cameras captured the shooting and the two suspects fled to a nearby apartment. Detectives responded to the apartment where the 14-year-olds were located. Four handguns, as well as a large amount of marijuana and cocaine, were recovered from the apartment, police said.

During an interview with detectives, the teens allegedly admitted to their involvement in the shooting, which stemmed from Buchanan allegedly stealing $300 from one of them.

Both were charged in juvenile court with criminal homicide and juvenile handgun possession.
