4 shot, including children, in Kentucky drive-by shooting
More arrests are pending as police continue their investigation.
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WSMV) – Four people, including children, were shot outside a Kentucky health department on Sunday after a 23-year-old man opened fire on them from a car, according to the Hopkinsville Police Department.
Officers first received a report of the shooting outside the Christian County Health Department at about 6:50 p.m. Through an investigation, police determined 23-year-old Stephen Bussell, of Hopkinsville, was driving eastbound on West 17th Street and shot several times from his moving vehicle toward a group of people. Three juveniles and one adult were hit by gunfire, police said.
Two juveniles and the adult were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, while another juvenile was driven by ambulance to a Nashville hospital.
Bussell was arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree assault, seven counts of wanton endangerment and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
More arrests are pending as police continue their investigation.
