Murfreesboro Police investigating after shots fired, multiple shell casings found

Police said two younger males were seen firing shots from moving vehicles.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Murfreesboro police are investigating after multiple shots were heard near North Walnut Street and Ridgley Road around 10 a.m. on Saturday. When officers went to the area, police found multiple shell casings.

According to the preliminary investigation, there was one vehicle and a person inside fired shots at someone.

“Detectives with the criminal investigations division with the Murfreesboro Police Department responded to the scene and crime scene technicians responded to collect shell casings,” Police said.

Police added that the case is still under investigation.
