Authorities investigating Murfreesboro daycare

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) – Authorities are investigating a complaint of mistreatment at a Middle Tennessee daycare.
The incident at Murfreesboro’s Lionheart Children’s Academy at One Church – Calvary has been reported to police and referred to the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services (TDHS), according to the Murfreesboro Police Department.
Police said the case is under investigation by the MPD Criminal Investigations Special Victims Unit and DCS. Details about the incident have not yet been released.
“We are aware of a recent incident that occurred at Lionheart Children’s Academy and the agency is currently under investigation,” TDHS said in a statement. “The Tennessee Department of Human Services will assist law enforcement and other authorities in their investigation of the situation as needed.”
