NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Nashville SC has parted ways with its head coach.

Nashville announced the departure of Gary Smith, who has been the head coach with Nashville SC for years, alongside Assistant Coach Steve Guppy, via X on Thursday.

Nashville SC announced today the departure of Head Coach Gary Smith and Assistant Coach Steve Guppy from the Club.

Former player and current Player Development Coach Rumba Munthali will step up as Interim Head Coach while the club conducts the search for the next head coach.

Former player and current player development coach Rumba Munthali was named interim head coach while the soccer club searched for its next head coach.

Smith was Nashville SC’s first coach when they entered the MLS.
