Suspect identified after taking photos of boy inside mall bathroom, police say

The 11-year-old boy said someone held a cell phone under the stall and took a photo of him using the bathroom.

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) – UPDATE: The suspect wanted for allegedly taking photos of a boy inside of a bathroom in the Cool Springs Galleria has been identified, according to police.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.

EARLIER: Franklin police are searching for a man who allegedly used his phone to take photos or video of a child using the bathroom.

The alleged incident happened Saturday, May 11, in a men’s bathroom at Cool Springs Galleria. The 11-year-old boy told police someone held their cell phone under the stall and pointed it in his direction while he was using the bathroom, according to a Franklin Police Department media release.

Police have identified the suspect as a white man with long blonde hair and a black beard. While visiting the mall, he was wearing a grey long-sleeve T-shirt, black pants, a purple hat, and grey Nike sneakers with an orange trim.

The suspect was seen arriving at the mall in a grey or silver SUV, police said.
