NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Two deputies with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office helped save a bird.
The RCSO said deputy Chris Wright spotted a rain-soaked, lifeless bird near his feet after the storms.
“I see the chest rise and fall every 45 seconds,” Wright said. “I can’t leave it. I’m here to serve and protect.”
Wright saved the bird named James who flew into the sallyport, the RCSO said.
