NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A 76-year-old man drowned at a boat ramp in Hendersonville, according to police.

Hendersonville police responded to a possible drowning at the Saundersville Boat Ramp on Wednesday at about 11:15 a.m.

Several first responding agencies worked together to find the victim, Mervin Johnson, Jr. of Goodlettsville.

“As the use of lakes and waterways for recreation increases during the summer months, it’s important to always wear a life jacket,” HPD said.
