NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Music fans can get up and close with guitars played by some of the most legendary artists.

The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville has a temporary exhibit for the next few days featuring guitars played by icons like Prince, Bob Dylan, John Lennon and more.

The museum partnered with Julien’s Auctions to bring the guitars to Nashville. The company said it was one of the best rock and roll music sales they’ve ever put together.

“It’s really the first time these guitars have been seen in public since Prince played this guitar,” said Darren Julien, the founder and president of Julien’s Auctions. “It’s the first time in the States that someone’s seen John Lennon’s guitar. So, to have it on display here at the Musicians Hall of Fame Museum is really an honor for us.”

The guitars will be featured from Wednesday through Saturday, May 18. Afterward, they will be taken to New York to be auctioned off.
