2 teens arrested after 4 shot, including children in Kentucky drive-by shooting

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WSMV) - Two teenagers have been arrested in connection to a drive-by shooting that injured four people, including children, outside a Kentucky health department on April 14, according to the Hopkinsville Police Department.

Three weeks after the shooting, police said two teens are in custody as they continue to search for Darrin Bussell.

Officers first received a report of the shooting outside the Christian County Health Department at about 6:50 p.m. Through an investigation, police said that 23-year-old Stephen Bussell, of Hopkinsville, was driving eastbound on West 17th Street and shot several times from his moving vehicle toward a group of people. Three juveniles and one adult were hit by gunfire, police said.

Two juveniles and an adult were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, while another juvenile was driven by ambulance to a Nashville hospital.

Bussell was arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree assault, seven counts of wanton endangerment and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
