Rutherford Co. officials seek information about suspicious car fire
Authorities say a Kia Optima caught fire before 5 a.m. Saturday in the area of Chapin Drive and Old Nashville Highway.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Rutherford County Fire Marshal’s Office is asking for help to identify suspects associated with a vehicle arson on Chapin Drive on Saturday morning.
Officials said a Kia Optima caught fire before 5 a.m. at the dead end of Chapin Drive near Old Nashville Highway.
Anyone with information on vehicles or persons that may be involved are asked to contact the Rutherford County Fire Marshal’s office tip line at 615-907-3600 or the Tennessee Arson Hotline at 800-762-3017. Anyone with pertinent information leading to the arrest or conviction of an arsonist can receive an award of up to $5,000.
