NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - UPDATE: Police said the power was restored in the Providence area of Mt. Juliet on Tuesday afternoon.
EARLIER: Travelers are urged to use caution in the Providence area of Mt. Juliet Tuesday afternoon as crews work to restore power to the area.
The outage was caused by lightning striking a utility pole, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department.
Police are urging caution as the traffic signals are offline.
