Injury crash closes road in Clarksville, 1 flown to Nashville hospital

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - One person was flown to a Nashville hospital after a crash in Clarksville on Wednesday.

Police are investigating a crash with injuries that shut down Madison Street. The person flown to Nashville had to be extricated from their vehicle and the status of their injuries is known.

The crash occurred at about 11:30 a.m.

“Madison Street is completely shut down and Eastbound traffic is being diverted onto Alfred Dr. and Westbound traffic is being diverted onto Richview Rd.,” police said.

Motorists are being asked to find an alternate route.
