GREENBRIER, Tenn. (WSMV) - Police are investigating a dog attack that left a young boy with a serious head injury on Wednesday evening in Greenbrier.
Smokey Barn News reports that Greenbrier Police officers and Robertson County EMS were dispatched to a home on Rose Street around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday after a 911 call came in for a dog attack. The officers arrived first to find a 5-year-old boy with a laceration on his head approximately 11 inches long, Smokey Barn reports.
The officers provided initial aid to the boy until medics with the Greenbrier Fire Department arrived. The boy was transported to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville for trauma care, according to Smokey Barn News. Two puncture wounds on the back of the boy’s head and above his eyebrow were also discovered, Smokey Barn reports.
