Have people begun implementing an anonymous board which has distributed storage/moderation/channels?

hmmmm, everyone sending each other RSS feeds (webring) is not really fun. Maybe I'm just hoping more people participate in anonymous networks.
I haven't checked in on any of them in quite some time, but I remember there were some federated imageboards. I think onionchan was the name of one of the nodes?

aside from this textboard I used to browse nntpchan which is mentioned ITT but it never seemed fully functional.
there was also an imageboard on zeronet, I think it was called zerochan but since zeronet never really took of I don't know if it's still up

RetroShare is a really great idea but it seems to me that it would need a lot more developers working on it. It's full of old bugs and is in a pretty bad state generally.
