Programming language chauvinism

I see a lot of programming language chauvinism in online discussions. For some reason, Lisp seems to have a lot of zealots too. Is that a bad thing?

For lisp? Or overall? Assuming you mean overall, I would say yes.

No it is not bad. It's okay to pick and choose opinions that you want to hold for yourself. It's okay to choose to reject opinions that other people hold. You should always think about the things you know and contemplate the reasoning for why you know what you know i.e. it is good to understand your `episteme`.

Overall, and especially for Lisp.
