C is a small and simple programming language. It supports imperative programming and functional programming. Does it make sense to use C to learn SICP?
C is imperative only, turing complete languages are everything. If this made sense go use C to learn SICP!

Nothing is comparable with the beauty, simplicity, and industrial relevance of C. In comparison, Scheme is just a toygramming language. Using C with SICP is simply a logical choice.
