MIT/GNU Scheme on Windows

1 2022-01-12 01:30

Why are Microsoft Windows users unfairly denied the privilege of installing and experiencing MIT Scheme?

The releases provide binaries that run on x86-64 and aarch64 machines running unix systems. They have been tested on GNU/Linux, NetBSD, and macos systems. We no longer support OS/2, DOS, or Windows, though it's possible that this software could be used on Windows Subsystem for Linux (we haven't tried).

Notice the malicious intention to put Windows in the same category as OS/2 and DOS, implying that Windows is somehow obsolete.

What do you mean? I can't believe that MIT Scheme is prioritizing the NetBSD toy operating system instead of the Microsoft Windows that most people love to use.

isc toy

Windows is a goy toy from Bill Gates. It's intended to occupy your mind and distract from the theft of the internet and recursion by the jews.

Because Windows is shit and nobody want to touch it.

But this is going to reduce the appeal of Scheme!

10 2022-01-13 23:43

it's good if you deter windows cuckers

11 2022-01-14 05:18

cause they are literally manchilds
imagine prejudicing people just because you have a grudge against a tool
absolutely pathetic manchilds

It's because they lack enough manpower to maintain it. It just shows how little and pitiful they are. Use Racket instead.

MIT Scheme is currently maintained by just one or two (brilliant) people. This is yet another example of The Curse of Lisp.

was 9.2 the latest version for windows? ยด-`)

15 2022-01-22 17:51

What is up with all the Windows users?

I didn't realize that MIT/GNU Scheme updated so rapidly that it is practically mandated to stay updated.
