How to get promoted?

1 2022-04-06 16:22

I see people three years out of university, doing their first jobs, and already senior software engineers. What is their secret?

Give head

What do you mean? Is this some git thing?

You will never get any job by this. Even sophomores know that you need force-push.

I just showed up every day, hardly did any work, and got promoted. That was literally the reason I was given too "I really like that you're always here."

What is their secret?

Jobhopping.

If you are not satisfied with your salary and project and worked for at least a year, just change your company for higher salary and more interesting project.

Don't wait for good promotion within the company, that happens rarely.

Yes, precisely. Even many employees with high pay recieved that from the start. If the hired you as a pawn the will keep you as a pawn. It's a doggie dog world i know.

I thought the great resignation is here & even for company like apple, people are leaving because of work from house demand is not meet, they had enough of working in abusive environment etc. Naturally it is the low IQ people that fill in the senior position after they left & you think that is excellent secret to know?

I am pretty sure this phenomena predates the whole covid thing.
