I could never get any kind of persistence, not in a VM and also not on bare-metal

Yet another Lisp project with a sleazy name. Is Mezzano (i.e. "pimp") trying to beat Scheme at using disreputable names (e.g. Guile, Racket, Larceny, etc.)? True to its name, Mezzano (i.e. "average") is nothing special.
Thanks for the link. If I ever want to hack a Lisp OS, I know I can use Mezzano as a base for learning.
