Research Overview

My research focuses on understanding how body movements during social interactions. including gesturing and head nodding, can lead to feelings of social affiliation and liking and contribute to overall social functioning. I am particularly interested in using automated techniques to quantify movement abnormalities in schizophrenia and psychosis risk populations and examine how these abnormalities may be related to social cognitive, social affiliative, and social functioning impairments.
