Research Overview

My research interests mainly focus on the effects of culture and language effects learning and the way in which children think/interact with our surroundings. As well as the effects of culture and language on learning and parent/child conversations. More specifically, I would like to examine the differences in categorization thinking styles (thematic verses taxonomic) between Non-Hispanic Caucasians and Hispanics as well as look at the effects of acculturation on those thinking styles.
