Eagle Mountain opened in 1996 to rave reviews. It was voted “Best New Public Course” by the Arizona Republic and was ranked the No. 2 Best Public Golf Course in 1997 by Arizona Business magazine.

Located just east of Scottsdale in Fountain Hills, Eagle Mountain has panoramic views of the mountains surrounding the Valley of the Sun. Course designer Scott Miller made a point to uphold the area’s desert tranquility while testing the golfer’s talents with elevation changes, rolling hills and undulations. The course plays a friendly 6,755 yards from the championship tees.

The 10th and 18th are Eagle Mountain’s two water holes. No. 10 is a picturesque, downhill par 5 with gorgeous valley views and a narrow fairway sloping to the water. The 18th drops 100 feet from tee to green and also slopes toward the water. Like all holes at Eagle Mountain, the 18th has a fitting nickname: “That’s Golf.”

The best view on the property may be from the clubhouse, which overlooks the entire course and has beautiful views of the entire valley.
