The Club at Starr Pass offers three unique nine-hole courses that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Possibly the most challenging of the courses is the Roadrunner/Rattler, which offers both a demanding test for golfers of all skill levels and also stunning views.
The course begins with some of the most beautiful views of the nearby Tucson Mountains. Although its location next to the mountains provides pleasant scenery, it also provides strong winds that become a definite factor in the game. Dramatic elevation changes, natural arroyos and strategic bunkering create further challenge. The course provides a formidable test for even the most skilled golfers. In addition to the three courses, The Club at Starr Pass offers extensive practice facilities, including a double-loaded driving range and putting and chipping greens. In order to maintain the natural wildlife habitats on the courses, the club is also a member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program.

Unfortunately, the greens were badly neglected ..Some of the greens issues were so simple you would imagine ANY course would have addressed these problems, Others were more serious yet lacked proper execution... My group played as the second group of a weekday morning and unfixed ball marks riddled every green; having been left and not repaired for days/weeks the spots became dead which could have easily been fixed prior to becoming a more serious issue... Hexplugs, which are used to repair large areas of the green, were on quite a few greens and were less than perfectly placed leading to unplayable portions of these few greens. In sincerity I do not remember a single putt I had a putt inside 10 feet that was not in some way affected by the poorly maintained greens. This is such a shame because the fairways and tees were in excellent condition, and as I said before I absolutely loved the views.
This course is also a target orientated with almost non existent/ matted dried up rough.. This allows the ball to easily roll through and off the fairways into the desert.
With a little more care this could be a wonderful course as the views and layout are excellent and challenging. However, in the condition in which I played the course I cannot recommend playing here.
