The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley in Tucson is so named for its stunning vistas provided by the nearby Catalina Mountains. The desert-inspired layout features a rolling terrain that blends in seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Trees dot the golf course and there is also an abundance of native cacti throughout. Designed by Greg Nash, the layout features large, rolling greens that are subtly elevated. The front nine meanders through dry washes and arroyos while the back nine snakes upwards to higher grounds. The back nine is more challenging than the front with more elevated tee shots and sharp doglegs. There is a small lake that comes into play and several strategically placed bunkers throughout. The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley also features a driving range and short-game practice area.
by Alex on March 02nd, 2014 19:45I had the misfortune of playing. this course. The views are spectacular and the course was in good condition. But the way our foursome was treated bordered on vindictiveness and just plain rudeness. We had a 930 tee time. The starter started us when the group ahead was already on the first green. No problem with us. But on the fourth hole despite us being ahead of the group behind us by a whole hole we were given very curtly if not abrasively a slow play warning. What gives? We made the turn at 2 hours and 15 minutes. The scorecard says we should play in 2 hours and 10 minute's. Granted we were 5 minutes behind. But we were still a hole ahead of the next group. We were given another slow play warning after teeing off. Or I should say we were scolded with a scowling face.
We again met with the course management representative on the 15th holewho again reminded us of slow play despite the fact we were now 20 minutes ahead of the next group. We finished in 4 hours 25 minutes. I will never play this course again.

The Pro Shop and Grounds personnel are a great asset.
