TPC Scottsdale, a PGA Tour club ready for you

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- For most of the year, the TPC Scottsdale looks and feels nothing like the chaotic scene that surrounds the Waste Management Phoenix Open, a golf party that attracted half a million people in 2012.

The stadium of skyboxes and bleachers on No. 16 and the crowds are gone. What's left are two strong desert tracks, the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course and TPC Scottsdale Champions Course, ready to test your game.

The Morrish-Weiskopf Stadium design, which opened in 1986 near the McDowell Mountains, challenges snowbirds who aren't in mid-season form with their short games. The drivable, par-4 17th is probably the most memorable hole.

TPC Scottsdale's Champions Course -- the old Desert course -- was redesigned by Randy Heckenkemper in 2007 into a more walkable and more affordable layout with similar slick greens.
