The University of Victoria Archives acquires, preserves, and provides access to UVic historical records and private archives of people and organizations relating to the UVic community, and we operate the Records Management Program of the university.
Established by the Senate in 1973, the University Archives is the repository for university records of permanent value from executive, administrative, and academic offices as well as the archives of faculty members.
We are located in room A005 in the lower level of the McPherson Library/Mearns Centre for Learning and share facilities and responsibilities for archival material and rare print materials with Special Collections.
