Police incident at First Peoples House
Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.
Earlier today, a person entered First Peoples House (FPH) and threatened staff with a knife. Police and Campus Security were on site quickly and the suspect was arrested.
The university is open; however, FPH will remain closed for the rest of the day.
We know that incidents like this can be very impactful. We want to assure you that there is no further danger to our community.
Police may remain on campus as it will take some time to thoroughly investigate today's events. We realize that the sight of armed officers on campus can be alarming to people.
