Costume Design
Originally from Mexico, Carmen (she/her) is a Latinx artist who earned her MFA degree in Theatre Design at UBC (2010) and lives in the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations (Vancouver) since 2006. Having designed costumes for over 80 productions, some of her recent credits were seen in companies such as: Vancouver Opera, Arts Club Theatre Company, Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival, Globe Theatre Regina, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Citadel Theatre, Electric Company and Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Carmen has been a sessional instructor at UBC and the recipient of three Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards.
